Fordefi's multi-chain browser extension supports working with DApps on EVM chains, Solana, and Cosmos app chains. On each of these type of chains, Fordefi's browser extension supports the standard browser extension interface and is thus instantly compatible with all DApps on those chains.

To get started, ensure you have successfully installed Fordefi's Chrome extension and that it is active.

EVM

Metamask

When interacting with EVM DApps, our extension cannot be used in parallel with MetaMask, in the same Chrome profile. You should therefore either:

  • Use the Fordefi extension in a separate Chrome profile, which does not have Metamask installed, or
  • Disable MetaMask while using Fordefi.

  1. Navigate to the DApp site of your choice, for example: uniswap.org.

  2. In the DApp site, click Connect Wallet.

  3. In the list that appears, click Fordefi, if available. Otherwise, click MetaMask.

    For some DApps, you might need to choose Injected Wallet, Detected Wallet, or Other Wallet. Here are some possibilities:

    Fordefi should connect the vault to the DApp.

  4. From the list that appears in the Chrome extension, choose the vault that the DApp will interact with. When connecting to EVM DApps, only EVM-type vaults will be available. Click Connect.

    When Fordefi has successfully connected the vault to the DApp, the vault address is displayed in the DApp site. For example:

Solana

  1. Navigate to the Solana DApp site of your choice, for example: Orca.

  2. In the DApp site, click Connect Wallet.

  3. In the list that appears, click Fordefi. (If Fordefi does not appear as one of the options, the DApp probably does not support the latest version of Solana Wallet Adapter. Please let us know of such DApps and we will try to find a workaround.)

    Fordefi should connect the vault to the DApp.

  4. From the list that appears in the Chrome extension, choose the vault that the DApp will interact with. When connecting to Solana DApps, only Solana vaults will be available. Click Connect.

    When Fordefi has successfully connected the vault to the DApp, the vault address is displayed in the DApp site. For example:

Cosmos

  1. Navigate to the Cosmos DApp site of your choice, for example: Keplr Dashboard or Osmosis.

  2. In the DApp site, click Connect Wallet. (On some Cosmos DApps, the DApp will immediately detect the Fordefi browser extension and will try to connect to it.)

  3. In the list that appears, click Keplr.

    Fordefi should connect the vault to the DApp.

  4. From the list that appears in the Chrome extension, choose the vault that the DApp will interact with. When connecting to Cosmos DApps, only Cosmos vaults will be available. Click Connect.
    When Fordefi has successfully connected the vault to the DApp, the vault address is displayed in the DApp site. For example:
