Only organization admins can configure transaction screening providers. A provider becomes active for your organization the moment valid credentials for it are successfully configured.
Screening is applied to new transactions as soon as the provider is activated. Transactions created before activation are not screened retroactively.
Obtain credentials from the provider you want to use:
- Blockaid: An API key. Refer to the Blockaid documentation for how to create one.
- Hypernative: A client ID and a client secret. Refer to the Hypernative documentation for how to create them.
Open the Fordefi web console.
In the side menu, click Settings > Screening. The Transaction screening section lists Blockaid and Hypernative, each with a status of
InactiveorActive.
On the row of the provider you want to activate, click Configure.

Enter the provider's credentials in the secure input fields.
Click Configure. Fordefi validates the credentials against the provider's API before storing them:
If validation succeeds, the credentials are saved and the provider's status changes to
Active.
On the row of an Active provider, click the ellipsis menu ⋮ to access the following:
- Edit credentials: Replace the stored credentials. The new credentials must pass validation before they replace the existing ones, so a failed validation leaves the provider working with its previous credentials.
- Test connection: Re-validate the stored credentials against the provider's API and show the result. Use this to confirm that credentials that worked when saved are still valid, for example after rotating a key on the provider's side.
- Deactivate: Stop screening transactions with this provider.
- On the row of an
Activeprovider, click the ellipsis menu ⋮ and click Deactivate. - Confirm the deactivation.
The provider's credentials are removed and its status returns to Inactive. New transactions are no longer screened by that provider.
