IP Whitelisting

IP Whitelisting enables admins to restrict API key access for each API User to a list of allowed IP addresses. Only API calls originating from the provided addresses are permitted.

View the IPs addresses that are whitelisted for each API User in the API Users screen. Click an API User to see details in the pane that is displayed at right.

IP Whitelisting enhances security and reduces unauthorized access risks. Some scenarios where this feature is applicable:

  • Users who are managing automated trading bots or API integrations and seek to limit access to trusted IPs
  • Users who want to protect API keys from being misused, if compromised.

Admins usually specify the IPs allowed during the creation of an API User. The list can be edited for existing API Users, too.
