# Sponsor Fees

The payer for an on-chain transaction fee can be different from the vault that holds the assets being sent.

With this Fordefi feature, you do not need to distribute native tokens across every vault to cover transaction fees. Instead, you can maintain a single, central vault to hold the native asset (for example, SOL) and use it to sponsor fees for all other vaults.

## Supported chains

This feature is currently available for Solana-type vaults only.

## Activate the feature

To make the feature available during transaction creation, activate it first.

1. In the side bar, click **Settings** > **Fee sponsorship**.

2. Toggle on the chain type(s) you wish to activate.
Now, you can choose a vault that is different from the sender when you create a transaction.
In the example shown here, `Moran Solana` is the sender and `Moran Solana` is the fee payer, by default. You can choose a different, sponsor vault as the fee payer, if you wish.
